For Todd Gregorski, every Sunday and Monday night has been dedicated to watching the Green Bay Packers accompanied by friends, family, and ice-cold beer. At 47 years old, my Dad has only been to the historic Lambeau Field a single time. Singing the “Beer Barrel Polka” with everyone packed tightly in the bleachers made him feel as though he added 72,499 people to our family of four.

When my parents married, my Dad accomplished an amazing feat…he converted my Mom from a Dallas Cowboys Fan to a Green Bay Packer Fan, tailgating at County Stadium every chance they had. With two daughters, my Dad never had a son to become the next NFL draft pick, but that didn’t stop him from raising avid Packer fans. During an elementary school project, I had to choose a famous person to give a report on and while most parents had their children speaking about presidents and celebrities, my Dad helped me speak about Vince Lombardi. For Halloween, there were no princess costumes in sight, just my Dad dressing me as Green Bay’s #92 Reggie White.

My family moved to Arizona in 1994, but Gilbert has never felt like home to my Dad. Tough financial times makes even watching football a difficult task. Both my Mom and Dad work full-time and have spent their money on paying for my sister and I to go college, putting the NFL Sunday Ticket on the backburner. Living in Arizona makes it difficult for my Dad to watch the Packers because the games are rarely televised, but that doesn’t stop my Dad from supporting his team. Whether it’s 90° or even 118° you will find my Dad listening to the Packer game in the garage, sometimes using two different radios, trying to catch every bit of the game he is unable to watch on TV.

If there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that my Dad never has and never will be a “bandwagon Packer fan.” Regardless of how the season is going, Todd remains devoted to Green Bay. When my Dad’s family and coworkers would make fun of the Packers, Todd and his late uncle, Ray Fronczak, would simply say, “The Pack is back,” letting Green Bay do the talking. Just finishing his third bout with skin cancer, Packer football is one thing my Dad can always count on. Todd’s two prized possessions are his Ray Nitschke and Bart Starr jersey’s, with his office and garage paying tribute to the Green Bay Packers.

I cannot think of a better title for my Dad than the 13th Packer Fan Hall of Fame honoree. I believe when Vince Lombardi said, “Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work,” he was referring to Todd’s dedication. As an Air Force Veteran, Green Bay Packer Fan, and wonderful Dad, Todd is the epitome of a devout and longtime family member of Wisconsin’s Green Bay
