Help us pick the All-Suburban Girls Basketball Team for a chance to win Bucks tickets
We're asking high school hoops fans to help us select the annual NOW Newspapers All-Suburban Girls Basketball Team, and the Player of the Year.
We've nominated 15 players to fill 10 spots on the honors team and we're asking you to pick the player that you think is the top basketball player in the NOW Newspapers coverage area. When the fan voting is over, your votes - along with the votes of our sport staff - will determine the makeup of our All-Suburban Team.
And one lucky person will win a pair of lower-level tickets to a Milwaukee Bucks game just for voting!
How do I vote?
Click on the VOTE NOW tab above and you'll see profiles of the 15 players nominated for the team.
You can vote for one player, and you can vote once per day. Voting will end at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, March 28.
You must first register to vote by clicking on the REGISTRATION tab above.
What happens after I vote?
The composite fan vote will be taken into consideration when determining the NOW Newspapers All-Suburban Team. The NOW sports staff's votes will represent 80% of the total vote for the players; the fan vote will represent 20%. The 10 players with the most votes -- based on the fans and sports staff votes -- will be named to the team. The player at the top of that list will be our Player of the Year.
Are there prizes for voting?
Yes. After all votes are cast, we will randomly select one person who voted and that person will receive a pair of lower-level tickets to an upcoming Milwaukee Bucks game.
When will the All-Suburban Team be announced?
The team will be announced online and in your local NOW newspaper on April 1. The winner of the Bucks tickets also will be announced at that time.
Why must I register to vote?
We ask for people to register to ensure that a person is voting only once per day. Once you register, you will automatically be registered for all future MyCommunityNOW.com and JS Online contests.
When you register, you will be asked to create a user name and password. After you do that, you can simply log on and skip the registration process the next time you want to vote.
