Have people told you that you look just like your mother - or your daughter? If there is a striking resemblance between the two of you, submit a photo and you could win six months of the "All the Best" package from Time Warner Cable - a $1,000 value! Submit your photo online between now and May 1. Public voting starts on May 2.
How does the contest work?
Click on the Submit Your Photo tab above and submit a photo of
the mother and daughter posed close together that is no more than one year old.
The submission period ends at 5 p.m. Friday, May 1.
On Saturday, May 2, the first round of online voting begins and will run through 5 p.m., Sunday May 10. The 100 photos that receive the most votes from the public will advance to the final round of voting.
The final round of voting will take place online and on Time Warner Cable's Wisconsin on Demand channel 1111. All votes will be totaled and the photo that receives the most votes is the winner.
What are the prizes?
The grand prize winner will receive six months of Time Warner Cable's "All the Best" package, which includes digital cable TV service, high-speed Internet service from Road Runner and digital phone service. The value of this prize is $1,050.
Ten runners-up will receive a 10-pack of Movies on Demand coupons for Time Warner Cable Channel 1000.
How often can I enter?
Only one entry is allowed per person - so make sure you choose the photo that best shows the
similarity between mother and daughter.
How do you vote for photos?
Round One: Between May 2 and May 10, click on the Vote For Photos tab above and you'll see all the photos that we received.
Go through the photos, pick the one that you like best and vote for it. You must register once to vote.
Round Two: After the 100 finalists have been selected, you can vote again between May 15 and 25, for your favorite photo. Voting will take place online and also at Time Warner Cable's Wisconsin on Demand channel. You can see videos of the photos on Wisconsin on Demand and learn more about the moms and daughters who made the final cut.
How often can I vote?
You can vote once per day during both rounds of voting: May 2 to 10; and May 15 to 25.
Can I vote for my own photo?
Absolutely! In fact, email a link to this contest to your friends and family, and have them vote, too. In addition, you can even put a contest button on your Facebook or MySpace page!
When will the winners be announced?
Contest winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 27.
Why must I register to vote?
We ask for people to register to ensure that a person is voting only once per day. Once you register, you will automatically be registered for all future MyCommunityNOW.com and MilwaukeeMoms.com contests.
When you register, you will be asked to create a user name and password. After you do that, you can simply log on and skip the registration process the next time you want to vote.
