Scouting reports: Thiensville has the old and charming Main Street area, while Mequon offers the hustle and bustle of a busy retail area along Port Washington Road. The two communities have a housing range from starter homes to mansions, a combination of both rural and suburban settings and an excellent public school system. Mequon is also home to Concordia University Wisconsin and the North Campus of Milwaukee Area Technical College. Both communities can claim bragging rights to large parks with ample recreational opportunities and an extensive offroad system of bike/pedestrian trails.
 
Year Founded: Incorporated to current boundaries in 1950, however, the original village was incorporated in the late 1800s.

Scouting report: A waterfall gives the village its name. The village features the Recreation Trail and Riverfront Trail that visitors can hike, bike or stroll. Old Falls Village Historical Park boasts homes and buildings from the mid-1800s and early 1900s, including a schoolhouse, a barn, railroad depot and log cabin. There are also a plethora of golf courses throughout the area.
