Wisconsin Trails Photo Contest rules:

1. The contest is open to amateur and professional photographers.
2. Individuals affiliated with Journal Communications, including employees, regents, trustees, interns, volunteers, fellows, research associates, and their immediate families (children, siblings, and spouses) and others living in their households are not eligible.
3. Each photographer may submit up to three photographs in each category.
4. All entries must be received by 5 p.m., March 1, 2012.
5. Entrants must hold all rights to a photograph.
6. Photographs previously published or pending publication, or photos that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright, are not eligible.
7. Entries will be judged by an independent panel, according to the overall quality of the photograph, with special attention paid to composition, exposure, focus, color, depth of field, and general interest.
8. First place, second place and honorable mention photos, titles and photographers’ names will be published in Wisconsin Trails and on wisconsintrails.com.
9. Please do not contact us regarding status of your entry. Winners will be contacted by April 1, 2012. 
10. Wisconsin Trails retains one-time publication rights to winning photographs. We reserve the right to publish winning photos in Wisconsin Trails and on our website.We also reserve the right to use any photos submitted to the contest for promotional purposes. Photographers will receive full credit on any use. We reserve the right to crop photos;
